Great Train Show, Belleville 2026

For the first time since before the COVID pandemic, the Great Train Show is returning to Belleville, and we will be there!  The show will once again be in what we’re told is a newly-refurbished Belle-Clair Fairgrounds and will feature fun model train displays and vendors.

Way of Lights 2026

We are excited to announce that we will be returning to The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows as part of the Way of Lights activities this holiday season!  We will once again be located in the Visitor’s Center.  This is our premiere annual event and a great time to celebrate the holidays and see some great LEGO displays of all sizes and themes, including our huge, lighted city with running trains!

Hours and directions, as well as a few photos from last year’s display, are below.  Note that just like the past few years we are not opening at the same time as the rest of the lights this year in order to give us ample time for setup.

November 23rd – December 31st, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
(closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Day)

Tickets are $5 for Adults and children 4 and over (children 3 and under are free).  Tuesday night is family night, and tickets are only $4.  Monday night veterans and active service military members can also get tickets for $4.

GATEway FATE 2026

The GtwLUG is excited to return for the third straight year to GATEway FATE, an unofficial Final Fantasy fan event put on by the same company that organizes the annual Anime St. Louis convention that we have also participated in.  We will have opportunities for free-building as well as some fantastic displays.

Greater St. Louis Metro Area Train Show 2026

We’re excited to be returning to the Greater St. Louis Metro Area Train Show for the fourth straight year, this time at the Kirkwood Community Center.  Our train-crazy members always love to bring out their engines, rolling stock and other railroad goodies, all made of LEGO parts old and new.

SciFest: Play and Creativity Expo 2026

We are excited to participate for the third time in the St. Louis Science Center’s SciFest (our second straight year in the Play and Creativity Expo)!  We are just one of many local groups participating in this day full of great STEM activities and creative opportunities.  See the St. Louis Science Center for a full list of activities and scheduled events.

DB Comic Con 2026

We haven’t done a comics-themed library event since before the COVID pandemic, so we are thrilled to be taking part in the DB Comic Con at the Daniel Boone Branch of the St. Louis County Library!  Costumes are not required, but very much encouraged!

Shriners Stroll Into Summer 2026

The GtwLUG is excited to once again team up with Shriners Children’s Hospital for their Stroll into Summer!.  Right after the walk there will be a Family Fun Fest right in the parking lot at the hospital featuring games, bounce houses, food trucks, and music. We will have our popular graffiti boards for everyone to build on. Hope you can join us!

Registration on their website is required for the walk (closes on June 4th), which automatically RVSPs you for the post-walk celebration.

2026 LEGO Event at St. Louis County Library

We are thrilled to once again be participating in the St. Louis County Library’s LEGO Event at the Clark Family Branch (formerly Headquarters) in Kirkwood!  Last year’s event featured displays to see, lots of play brick and interactive building opportunities, LEGO Education SPIKE workstations with instruction and assistance from club members, build-and-take-a-minifig with our friends at the Minifig Shop, and plenty of games and activities.

AIA Architecture Week 2026

The week of April 13th – 17th, the American Institute of Architects is celebrating Architecture Week, and we’re excited to participate in a family-friendly event with the St. Louis chapter of the AIA.  We will we displaying some St. Louis landmarks constructed from LEGO bricks as well as providing our popular free-building opportunities.  The event is aimed at kids K-12, and REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.  Find out more details and register for the event here.
